Okay, so if you've been keeping up with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 (Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken), you already know cour 2 has been wild. Rimuru's world just keeps getting bigger and messier, and everyone's already asking the same question online: when does cour 3 drop, and what's it going to be about? Let's get into it.

Catching Up with Cour 2

By episode 22, Tamashii no Arika, Rimuru finally gets the full picture. Chronoa isn't just some random powerful hero, she's literally Chloe and Hinata's souls fused together, and Luminous basically drops this bomb on him mid battle while Raphael scrambles to fill in the gaps. Veldora gets pulled into the fight too, going hand to hand with Chronoa (and getting cut for his trouble, which honestly might be a first for him). Leon and Luminous are holding their own against Granville on the other side of the cathedral, but the real kicker is Yuuki slipping away again once his plan to free Chronoa doesn't pan out the way he wanted.

It's been a heavy few weeks, honestly. Lots of flashbacks, lots of lore about the two-thousand-year time loop Chloe's been stuck in, and not everyone's thrilled about the pacing. Still, if you want to catch up before the finale, it's all streaming on Crunchyroll right now.

Two Episodes Left, Here's When

  1. Episode 23, drops Friday, September 18, 2026
  2. Episode 24, drops Friday, September 25, 2026

Not much time left before this arc wraps, and there's still a lot to resolve.

What Might Happen in These Final Episodes

Given that post credit scene reminding everyone Shion and Ranga are still out there fighting Razul, episode 23 will probably finally swing the camera back to them, something a lot of viewers admitted they'd honestly forgotten about while everything with Chronoa was unfolding. Diablo's sudden appearance at the end of episode 22 is a pretty big hint too. He's clearly got a part to play in whatever plan Rimuru's cooking up to wake Chloe and Hinata.

The finale will likely try to close the loop on Granville, though whether Yuuki actually faces any real consequences is anyone's guess at this point. Go check out the official trailer for cour 2 down below if you need a refresher on how we even got here.

So, When's Cour 3 Actually Coming

Nobody's announced an exact date yet, but there's enough to work with for a decent guess. Cour 2 kicked off back in July 2026 and wraps in late September, and the gap between cour 1 and cour 2 wasn't huge earlier this year. Add in the fact that Season 4 is confirmed for a full 60 episode run, and it seems fair to expect cour 3 sometime between late 2026 and spring 2027. Studio 8-Bit will probably need a short breather before jumping into what's shaping up to be a much bigger arc. Shinichiro Narita, Producer at Bandai Namco Filmworks, addressed it directly at the Anime Expo 2026 panel:

"Following the movie Tears of the Azure Sea, Season 4 will continue to air over five cours, allowing us to take on a challenge that few other titles can attempt. Our creators, the team at animation studio 8-Bit, the cast, and everyone involved are giving it their all." - Shinichiro Narita, Producer

That ambition is clearly something the production team is fully aware of.

What Story Content Cour 3 Should Bring

Based on where the source material stands, here's what's likely on deck:

  1. The fallout from the Chronoa fight, plus Chloe and Hinata finally waking up for real
  2. Shion getting her rematch against Razul, hopefully with an evolution to back it up after a rough season for her
  3. The start of the Eastern Empire arc, which a lot of longtime readers consider one of the best stretches of the whole series
  4. Yuuki dealing with the mess he made this cour, assuming the story doesn't let him wiggle out of it again
  5. Bigger roles for Rimuru's inner circle, especially Diablo, Testarossa, and Carrera as things escalate

What People Are Actually Hoping For

A lot of the criticism this cour has centered on the fights just not looking as intense as they should. You've got characters who could supposedly level cities just trading sword swings like it's a regular scuffle, and viewers keep pointing out how the Orc Lord fight or the Megiddo battle hit way harder visually. There's real hope that the Eastern Empire arc, with its bigger scale conflicts, finally gives the animators a reason to cut loose.

And then there's Yuuki. People are just done with him at this point, half joking that his plot armor might be stronger than any of Rimuru's ultimate skills. Veldora, meanwhile, has become the unexpected highlight of the cour, goofy manga obsession and all, so more of him next season would probably make a lot of people happy.

The character dynamics are clearly something the cast themselves think about deeply too. In an interview with Anime News Network, Miho Okasaki, voice of Rimuru, reflected on what makes certain bonds in the show so special,

"Raphael is the one that Rimuru relies on all the time. But, I think there's something special to Rimuru about the fact that Raphael is a presence only they can sense." - Miho Okasaki VA of Rimuru

If speculation like this is your thing, it's worth checking out a couple other pieces floating around covering Reborn as a Vending Machine Season 4 and The Strongest Job Is Apparently Not a Hero Season 2, both digging into similar release guesswork. For now, though, all attention's on these last two episodes. Cour 3 can wait a little longer.

Extraordinary Attorney Minami: Release Date and Story

So Extraordinary Attorney Minami (Minamida Minami Bengoshi wa Tensaihada) has a release date, and honestly, the timing couldn't be better for anyone who's been missing Extraordinary Attorney Woo since 2022. This is the Japanese remake of that massive Korean hit, and it's been all over fan pages for weeks now. The premise stays close to the original. Simple on paper, but it clearly struck a nerve the first time around, and people are curious to see what Japan does with it.
