Tokyo Revengers (Tôkyô Ribenjâzu) just gave fans a premiere that left plenty of people reaching for tissues, and now everyone's already counting down to episode 2. The first episode dropped on October 2, and the next one is barely a week away. International viewers can expect it on Disney+ sometime around October 8 or 9 depending on where they live, since the show has stuck to its global same day release pattern so far.

When Episode 2 Actually Drops

If the weekly schedule holds, episode 2 airs in Japan in the very early hours of October 10, which technically counts as a Friday October 9 broadcast because of that after midnight timeslot anime loves to use. Disney+ subscribers should see it land around 1pm ET or 6pm UK time on October 8, though it's worth double checking the local listing closer to the date since these timings tend to wobble a little.

The season is confirmed to run for 13 episodes, covering anime Episodes 51 through 63. So once episode 2 wraps up, there will still be 11 episodes left in the tank. This isn't a show trying to rush toward the finish line, which honestly feels right given how much ground this arc has to cover.

What Episode 2 Will Likely Cover

Episode 1 wrapped up the fallout from the Tenjiku fight, with Toman disbanding for good and Takemichi convinced he'd finally fixed everything. Episode 2 looks like it'll open on a quieter note, with Takemichi showing up at Pah's wedding. Expect some low-key conversations and a bit of breathing room before the story starts tightening the screws again.

This is also roughly where things start pointing toward Bonten, the group that eventually takes Toman's place as the main source of chaos in Takemichi's life. Anyone who's read ahead knows this is the moment the story shifts into something darker and much higher stakes than anything Toman ever threw at him. Whether episode 2 shows Bonten outright or just plants the seeds is hard to say, but the groundwork is already being laid.

A Calm Before Everything Changes

Funny enough, even with a funeral opening the season, a lot of viewers walked away from episode 1 saying it felt oddly peaceful. That kind of calm rarely lasts in this series. If anything, a quiet episode usually means something's about to go sideways, and episode 2 seems like the point where the plot starts moving again.

Mikey is the one everyone keeps circling back to. There's a sense that whatever he's carrying beneath the surface isn't going to stay buried much longer, and it probably won't happen without someone pushing him there. The idea floating around is that his loyalty to the people closest to him and the cracks forming underneath are about to collide, and that tension looks like it's shaping up to be one of the arc's bigger emotional beats.

More Anime Worth Watching While You Wait

The wait for new episodes isn't exactly fun, but there's no shortage of other shows to keep an eye on in the meantime. For anyone curious about what else might be coming back soon, it's worth checking out what's been written already on Clevatess Season 3 and Re Zero Season 5, two more sequels fans have been speculating about nonstop.

With Liden Films still running the show and Maki Kodaira directing this stretch, episode 2 feels like the calm before Takemichi gets pulled into something much bigger than Toman ever was. That wedding might be the last peaceful moment anyone gets for a while.

Extraordinary Attorney Minami: Release Date and Story

So Extraordinary Attorney Minami (Minamida Minami Bengoshi wa Tensaihada) has a release date, and honestly, the timing couldn't be better for anyone who's been missing Extraordinary Attorney Woo since 2022. This is the Japanese remake of that massive Korean hit, and it's been all over fan pages for weeks now. The premise stays close to the original. Simple on paper, but it clearly struck a nerve the first time around, and people are curious to see what Japan does with it.
