Why This Show Hit So Hard

What really gets people about this show is how much it manages to pack into just one episode. It's been compared to reading an old fable, where every chapter feels complete on its own but still ties back into something much larger. That episode with Pompora in particular seems to have wrecked a lot of people, and more than a few viewers said it felt eerily close to watching their own cats in their final days, right down to little behavioral details that apparently real elderly cats actually do.

There's also just genuine curiosity about how this world works. How long do Cait Sith actually live? Why does magic seem to stretch certain characters' lifespans way beyond normal? What happened to some of the side characters we only met once? None of that got fully answered in Season 1, and the finale's recap play, funny as it was, only made people want the missing pieces even more, especially that whole war that apparently broke out right after the dragon first revealed himself.
