Re:ZERO Season 4 Episode 14 and 15 What's Coming Next

Okay so episode 13 absolutely wrecked everyone, and now the whole fandom is just sitting here waiting to see what happens next. If you've caught up with Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu), you already know Rem showed up inside the Corridor of Memories and gave Subaru exactly the push he needed. But that was just the beginning of this stretch of the story. Episodes 14 and 15 still have a lot of ground to cover, and honestly it's hard not to be a little nervous about where things go from here.
So, What Happens in Episode 14
Right after Subaru snaps out of his mental showdown with Rui Arneb, he's got to actually deal with everything happening outside the tower, and it's not pretty. Expect this episode to bounce back and forth between Subaru trying to process what just went down in the Hall of Memories and the rest of the crew getting swarmed by mabeasts while the other Gluttony siblings start making their move. Shaula, Beatrice, Emilia, and Ram are basically holding the line, and things only get messier from here.
There's also a massive chance we finally see Reid Astrea break entirely free from his restrictions. While he has already been a brutal roadblock for Subaru's camp on the second floor earlier this season, the absolute chaos building around the watchtower sets up the perfect moment for him to crash the main stage. Light novel fans are highly anticipating this episode, as it sets the stage for a spectacular, game-changing clash between the legendary Sword Saint and the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony.
What Might Happen in Episode 15

This is probably where the story slows down just enough to let Subaru actually sit with what happened to him. The light novel spends real time on Subaru wrestling with which version of himself he even wants to be going forward, and episode 15 feels like the natural spot for that to come through. It's less about getting his old memories back at this point and more about him figuring out who he wants to become no matter what those memories end up being.
That said, don't expect things to stay quiet for long. The fight outside is still going, and with three Gluttony siblings now in play plus a horde of mabeasts and whatever weird possession or cloning powers they've got, the group is in a genuinely rough spot. Episode 15 will likely crank the tension up even more heading into the back half of the season.
A Couple Things Fans Are Still Wondering About

One thing people keep bringing up is that little blue memory fragment tied to Rem from episode 13. Nobody really knows yet if it was just a piece of her presence lingering in the Corridor or something bigger, maybe even hinting at her memories coming back someday. It'd be nice to get some kind of hint in episode 14 or 15, even if the full answer is still a ways off. This makes Subaru's earlier breakdown in season 1 feel even more relevant now, where he admitted,
"I have no strength, but I want it all. I have no knowledge, but all I do is dream. There's nothing I can do, but I struggle in vain!" - Natsuki Subaru, Re:ZERO Season 1 Episode 18
Then there's Rui herself. She feeds on memories, and she's basically found the perfect loophole with Subaru since his repeated deaths keep giving her fresh material to devour, all while she tries to convince him his past self and current self are two different people so she can get around only being able to eat someone once. Now that Rem's presence has thrown a wrench in that plan, it'll be interesting to see how Rui reacts and what she tries next.

Where This Arc Seems to Be Heading

With six episodes left, it really feels like the show is building toward something big. Episode 13 left a heavy emotional mark, and it doesn't seem like that's going away anytime soon. How the story balances Subaru's inner conflict with the escalating fight outside is going to say a lot about how the rest of this season plays out.
If you're keeping track of other big isekai releases, it's worth checking out our earlier coverage on the confirmed upcoming seasons of Wistoria Wand and Sword Season 3 and I Got a Cheat Skill Season 2, both are shaping up to be exciting additions to your watchlist alongside Re:ZERO's continuing story.
Between Reid possibly entering the fight, Rui scrambling to figure out her next move, and that lingering mystery around Rem's appearance, there's a lot riding on these next couple episodes. This might end up being one of the most important stretches in the whole Recapture Arc, so it's probably worth clearing your Wednesday nights for a while.
